The Pottery from Stoke-on-Trent is famous around the world. At the Gladstone Pottery Museum you can see the giant bottle kilns which were used to fire the bone china tablewear. It is the last complete Victorian pottery factory in the country.
Experience for your self the working conditions of the men, women and children of the day. Watch daily demonstrations of pottery skill and even try your hand at throwing a pot, making bone china flower or decorating a piece a pottery. There is also a gift shop and tea room which is open to both museum visitors and the general public.
