Today the video review is of the Swift Challenger Sport 442. The Sport range was a change for Swift from the Charisma as their entry level caravan line up, with this 442 as a replacement for the 230.
Its a lightweight 2 berth van with a rear washroom layout. The Swift Challengers came with the optional roof window to provide more light into the dinning area. The reviewer seems quite impressed with the small finishing details on the external of the caravan, such as the concealed awning rail. In the evening obviously the lounge area is converted into a large double bed, and the side table provides a handy space to put drinks, clocks etc.
The kitchen space on the Swfit Challenger Sport 442 is relevantly compact but that comes with the territory on a compact 2 berth caravan. There are 3 hobs with an electric hot plate, bringing in electric hobs seems to be more common on caravans today, especially as many caravanners have no intention of using a site with no electric hook ups. You also get the standard separate grill, oven and microwave. Storage is obviously limited but reasonable as again is the work top space, and the sink is smaller than some of their competitors.
The Swift 442 features a rear washroom with separate shower. Again reasonable space for a caravan of this size but the sink size in the bathroom is actually larger than some of their competition running contrary to the kitchen sink. The wardrobe provides good space and the shower while tight to enter is also usable. The toilet is positioned very close to the wall, however as the top swivels this is not really any issue. However as the reviewer states, the position of the towel rail is rather odd above the toilet roll holder.
Anyway that’s the Swift Challenger Sport 442, please comment below.
